Larry Moore (born July 26, 1945) is a television newscaster in Kansas City, Missouri, United States for over 3 decades. He has been called “Mr. Kansas City” due to his local prominence.〔(11 feat front nov 20.qxd (Page 1) )〕 He is a frequent participant and fundraiser in many charitable events. Moore has been Chief News Anchor and Editor since 1972 at KMBC-TV in Kansas City 〔(Larry Moore - KMBC-TV News Team Story - KMBC Kansas City )〕 except for a three year absence. ==Education and early career== Moore received a B.A. in English from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri in 1967. While in college, he was a reporter and weekend editor for the Kirksville Daily Express newspaper. After college, he worked for United Press International.〔 He started a master’s degree program at the University of Missouri when he decided to pursue a career in television. He joined KMBC-TV in 1968 as a reporter.〔
